Debut poetry collection, Wild Expectations, now available from Casa Urraca Press

I am ecstatic to tell you all that Wild Expectations is now available from Casa Urraca Press, featuring 30 of my poems alongside the black and white photography of Magdalena Lily McCarson.

This beautiful little volume was a long time in the making. Magdalena and I collaborated over a dense (and unexpectedly difficult) two-month stretch back in 2018, with the intent of holding a gallery show and perhaps publishing a short run of books to accompany it.

Well, the gallery unexpectedly closed due to fumes from the new engine repair shop that moved in next door.

A year later, we had plans to host the show in a very different venue. Then COVID-19 struck.

So we moved forward with the book itself, knowing we could always plan that third-time’s-a-charm show in the future. But we hoped this book would bring some joy and contemplation to people right now, when perhaps they needed it most.

We did something special here, too, to honor the original intent of the gallery show. The limited first printing of 100 is numbered and signed by each of us. Those are available exclusively through Casa Urraca. Then the standard edition is also available.
