New poem in Banshee #11

I have been trying to get published in Banshee, the outstanding literary journal from Ireland, for about six years now. It wasn’t quite my white whale; more like my white tuna. Or perhaps a white trout. Maybe not such a big deal as I made it out to be, but nevertheless, I just really, really wanted it.

So I feel like I’ve #madeit — Issue #11, and Zach’s Attempt #5 or 6 or 7 — goes up for pre-order today. It contains my poem “Apocrypha: This Is the Spot You Poured Me Tea.” The issue contains nonfiction from one writer whose work I really admire, and many other writers who I am excited to discover.
